Shoko & Kaito, August 2023.

Shoko & Kaito, August 2023. I traveled to Nishinomiya to capture the moments of these two individuals. They are dear friends of mine, and on that particular day, I had the privilege of photographing them.

Enjoy !

Umbrella

In Japan, there is a symbol for couples called "相合傘" (Aiaigasa), which literally means "the umbrella that fits together." It carries many meanings such as harmony, love, and more. Even without saying the words "I love you," these feelings are conveyed through the expressions of the two people. I am deeply grateful to Shoko and Kaito, who have treated me with so much love and respect, not only towards each other but also towards me.

Walking together under the same umbrella, I sincerely hope that they continue to nurture their love. Congratulations on your marriage, and best wishes for your future together.

THANKS !

I appreciate you taking a moment to explore this series of photographs featuring the couple Shoko & Kaito. Shoko is a longtime friend whom I've known for many years. Today, she celebrated her wedding with Kaito, a kind and caring man, and I genuinely feel happy for them.

I had the opportunity to photograph them on two different days: first at Shoko's vintage clothing boutique, then at their home, and finally by the river near their residence. On that particular day, the heat was oppressive, and we had to limit our outdoor photo session to just 10 minutes due to the unbearable temperature. That's Japan in the summer... ;)

One evening, we decided to attend the Bon-Matsuri (the summer dance festival) and later dine at MINOHACHI restaurant in Bentencho, OSAKA, to savor some "yakitori" chicken skewers. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it, and don't miss out on trying the delicious "TSUKUNE," flavorful chicken meatballs smothered in teriyaki sauce. A true delight for the taste buds! Lastly, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to them !
